Page Waves

This book was a labor intensive project, whilst creating it. Before I did the accordion folds, the spine was 10 feet long. The book had its own energy and behaved with its own traction that did not necessarily agree with my energy as I proceeded to bind the book together. I am interested in the nature of waves and how they permeate our physical universe. I am interested in how to translate this fascination into a tangible and tactile art object that has some form of an experiential aspect to it. I was excited to hear in the last month about the first detection of gravitational waves that were predicted 100 years ago by Einstein and loved the correlation between this idea and how art and science can reflect upon each other.
